About Sydney Time (Australian Eastern Time)
Sydney uses Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST, UTC+10) and advances to Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT, UTC+11) during the New South Wales daylight-saving period.
The NSW Government states that clocks move forward on the first Sunday in October and back on the first Sunday in April. Other Australian states and territories do not all follow the same seasonal rule, so use a city-specific zone rather than the label “Australia time”.
