About London Time (GMT / BST)
London uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, UTC+0) after the autumn clock change and British Summer Time (BST, UTC+1) after the spring change. The UK government states that clocks go forward on the last Sunday in March and back on the last Sunday in October.
Do not assume the London–New York difference is always five hours. The UK and United States change clocks under different rules, so short periods can have a different gap.
