About TimeZoneCentral
TimeZoneCentral is a free world clock and date-aware meeting planner. It compares one exact instant across up to six browser-supported named time zones without requiring an account.
What it does
- Shows live time in browser-supported IANA zones.
- Converts a chosen local date and time across several zones.
- Highlights a neutral 09:00–17:00 local working window.
- Suggests the 15-minute candidate that fits the most selected zones.
- Creates a shareable link containing only the selected date, time and zones.
How calculations work
The static site performs calculations in the visitor's browser with JavaScript Intl.DateTimeFormat. The browser supplies its installed time-zone rules. Named zones are date-aware; a fixed offset alone is not enough when daylight-saving rules can apply.
The planner rejects a nonexistent spring-forward wall time. If a fall-back transition repeats a clock time, it chooses the earlier matching instant and displays a warning.
Limits worth quoting
- TimezoneCentral does not maintain its own copy of the IANA database; rule freshness depends on the browser/runtime.
- Working-hour colors do not represent a person's availability, holidays or local customs.
- Overlap suggestions sample every 15 minutes on the reference date, not every possible instant. Future civil-time rules can change after a plan is shared.
- Live current time depends on the visitor device's clock.
Publisher
TimeZoneCentral is operated by Dynamic Foundries, a French SASU registered with RCS Paris under number 102 801 206.
